Fadel Amin was a revolutionary Mauritanian poet who joined the Arab Ba’ath Movement, which led to his persecution by the rulers in his country, so he fled toward Dakar where he died dreaming of a better future for his motherland.
A poet may live far from his homeland in his forced or optional exile, but his country remains close to his heart and spirit until his last breath.
